Onsite 100%

Monday to Friday - Day shift - Preferred hours: 9am to 5pm (there may be some flexibility options)

Less Exp: $16 to $17/hr
Good Exp: $18 to $19/hr

Manager is open to consider candidates with no experience (at a reduced bill rate), but with proactive energy.

As we continue our mission, we are building a new manufacturing team here in Waltham for our Protein products. This is a unique opportunity to be part of new growth at Abcam.

To help with this growth, we need a Manufacturing Associate to join our IVD manufacturing team and contribute to the component manufacturing for immunoassay kits, maintain material inventory, and the overall operation of lab equipment.

About the IVD Manufacturing Team at Abcam:

The IVD Manufacturing Team works closely with other teams across the business to deliver high quality products. Relevant skills include an understanding of the biological sciences, an eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and teamwork.

Your role will include:
  1. Bulk preparation of kit components, ability to read and understand batch production guides for intermediates and finished goods
  2. Effectively use various laboratory equipment such as Biological Safety Cabinets, pipettes, incubators, balances, pH meters, centrifuges, etc.
  3. Preparing and maintaining proper documentation
  4. Maintain line clearance and clean work environment according to 5S
  5. Use ERP system to complete work orders
  6. Support any process development and optimization of products
  7. Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing processes
  8. Ensure compliance with Quality policies, SOPs and Health and Safety procedures
  9. Physical inventory of raw and finished good materials
Qualifications:
  1. You will have a BS in life sciences or 2+ years of experience in biomanufacturing, preferably
  2. You have a general knowledge of basic lab techniques and are proficient in MS Office applications.
  3. You will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
  4. You have excellent organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  5. You have a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
  6. Must be able to lift 15 lbs
