Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join a remote team, supporting operations in Welkom. The role focuses on maintaining inventory data accuracy across systems, performing regular cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies to prevent stock variances.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in inventory management, and proficiency with Excel and inventory software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, cycle counting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time effectively.
• A certificate or degree in a relevant field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
• Develop and implement procedures to minimize inventory shrinkage and improve stock accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels and provide reports on stock status, turnover, and potential issues.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to manage stock replenishment and identify slow-moving items.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements in forecasting and stock management.
