Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Retail Stock Controller for their Upington store. You will manage inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts, and work with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels, reducing shrinkage and stockouts.

Responsibilities include reconciling discrepancies, analyzing sales data, and coordinating receiving, storage, and replenishment on the shop floor. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control in retail settings.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stocktaking.
• Proficiency with inventory software and MS Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory stocktakes to verify accuracy.
• Investigate and reconcile stock discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels, analyze sales data, and forecast future inventory needs to ensure adequate product availability.
• Oversee the receiving, unpacking, and storage of incoming stock, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with the sales team to ensure efficient stock replenishment on the shop floor and support promotional activities.
