Job summary

Pan Atlantic Foundation seeks an entry-level International Area Representative to connect international students with welcoming host families, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and supporting successful exchange experiences from start to finish. You will recruit families, orient and guide them, and maintain ongoing support while engaging with local schools and communities.

The role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, independence, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with families, schools, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Comfortable conducting in-home visits and interviews.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable transportation for local travel to schools and host family homes.
• Basic computer literacy for completing online documentation and applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit prospective host families within the assigned area to support international student exchange programs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools to raise awareness of student exchange opportunities
• Promote public awareness of exchange programs through community outreach and engagement activities
• Guide prospective host families through the online application process on the organization’s website
• Conduct in-home interviews with potential host families and verify references to ensure suitability
• Facilitate host family orientations prior to student arrival to set expectations and provide program guidance
• Perform monthly check-ins with host families and students via phone calls or in-person visits
• Document all interactions, check-ins, and progress reports accurately in the online system
