Job summary

Disciples Church Extension Fund is seeking an Interim New Church Strategist to evaluate and evolve our ministry models during an up-to-18-month term. You will lead data-driven program assessment and build relationships across the denomination to align regional needs with organizational goals for church planting.

You will develop a revised New Church Ministry framework delivering measurable impact across the wider church, reporting to the President & CEO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; graduate degree (M.Div., MTS, etc.) a plus.
• Clergy in good standing with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in faith-based nonprofit, congregational, or regional leadership with focus on program administration or strategic operations.
• Systems thinker with ability to analyze data to identify inefficiencies and build measurable reporting.
• Collaborative team player who can deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
• Proven relationship-builder across general, regional, and local church leaders for church-planting support.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex data clearly to leadership.
• Results-oriented self-starter capable of driving projects to completion and aligning with mission.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational execution and day-to-day management of New Church Ministry projects to meet milestones.
• Cultivate denominational relationships to support church-planting and connect regions to resources.
• Lead evaluation and continuous improvement of NCM programming using qualitative and quantitative data.
