Job summary

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent team is seeking an Interim Litigation Counsel for a large consumer beverage company. This remote role supports the in-house litigation team with managing matters, coordinating with outside counsel, and handling substantive litigation tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in complex commercial litigation, including in-house experience, with strong independent work habits and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of complex commercial litigation attorney experience, including defense-side work, with some in-house experience.
• Experience managing litigation matters and coordinating with outside counsel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Self-starter comfortable stepping into an active litigation function.
• IP/patent dispute exposure and class action experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle subpoena-related work, including subpoenas, subpoena responses, and routine litigation support activities.
• Assist with potential UCC lien-related matters and other matter management or reporting support.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on active litigation matters and related workflows.
• Support complex commercial litigation matters as needed.
• Depending on need, support patent/IP disputes, class actions, and complex claims management.
• Assist with development of an attorney-client privilege training or module as a secondary project if needed.
