Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services invites an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the close, improve processes, and support a growing finance team on a remote contract of 6–8 months. This hands-on role focuses on NetSuite and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with auditors, and collaborate with FP&A and operations on process improvements, with a view to extending the engagement based on business needs. Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Advanced experience with NetSuite ERP required.
• Experience in a high-growth or rapidly evolving environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support financial statement preparation and management reporting.
• Partner with external auditors and assist with audit requests.
• Improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows to support scalability.
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and leadership on ad hoc projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff as needed.

A growing and dynamic organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the finance team during a critical period of growth and process enhancement. This is a fully remote contract opportunity expected to last 6–8 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys improving processes, and has strong experience managing the close process within NetSuite.
