Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services seeks an Interim Controller to support a high growth SaaS organization during a leadership transition. This remote contract role will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, revenue recognition, and the month-end close while leading a remote accounting team.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA with strong US GAAP and ASC 606 knowledge, plus experience leading audits and accounting departments in SaaS. 4-6 month assignment with a focus on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• SaaS industry experience required.
• CPA required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Previous Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Experience leading audits and managing accounting teams.
• NetSuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month end and quarter end close.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage ASC 606 revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting.
• Support external audits and technical accounting matters.
• Partner with cross functional teams to improve processes and controls.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff.
