Job summary

Staffing Science is seeking an Integration Engineer for a fully remote role in the United States. You will design and ship integrations that connect our logistics platform to customers, carriers, terminals and trading partners, owning them in production.

This hands-on backend position emphasizes data movement, reliability, and collaboration with customers and engineers to deliver scalable, end-to-end integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building enterprise integrations or backend systems.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Hands-on cloud experience on Microsoft Azure; AWS is a plus.
• Experience with EDI and REST APIs using JSON/XML.
• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures and fault tolerance.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; able to lead technical conversations.
• Independent and quick to adapt in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy customer, carrier and partner integrations from scratch.
• Create inbound/outbound data flows via EDI, REST, SFTP, email and Azure Service Bus.
• Implement robust retry, idempotency, deduplication and dead-letter handling.
• Collaborate with customers and trading partners to onboard connections.
• Own integrations in production, including monitoring and on-call rotation.
• Migrate legacy integrations to the modern platform and guide architecture.
• Work with engineering, operations, product and analysts in an agile team.
