Job summary

SafelyYou in the United States is hiring a Data Integration Engineer for fully remote work. You will design, build, and operate data pipelines, transforming and mapping data between internal and external systems, and ensuring reliability at scale.

You will own integration patterns, write API specifications, and collaborate with R&D, backend, and cross-functional teams to rollout new integrations with Go-Live data backfills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software, backend, or data engineering experience.
• Proficient with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party platforms.
• Strong Python and SQL for data transformation pipelines.
• Experience with API failure modes and scalable operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; experience with docs

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate robust integration pipelines to ingest and push data to third-party APIs and webhooks.
• Transform, normalize, and map data payloads between internal schemas and external specs.
• Validate data from third-parties and automate resolution of anomalies.
• Manage complex data backfills and Go-Live pipelines for new rollouts.
• Write and maintain technical docs and API specs for internal and external use.
• Triage and handle integration failures, rate limits, and edge cases at scale.
• Scale integrations by enabling non-engineers to configure and backfill third-party data.
• Ensure data quality with automated tests and pipeline monitoring.
• Work in Agile teams to plan and deliver new integration features.
• Collaborate with support, operations, and product teams; participate in on-call.
