Qualifications

• 2 years of benefit verification/authorization experience or equivalent
• 1 year of customer service experience and 2 years in clinical/precertification/authorization
• 4–6 years end-user experience with MS Outlook/Word
• 4–6 years end-user experience with office equipment (fax/copier)

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient work queue to determine accounts needing verification
• Coordinate with physician offices for pre-certification and benefits
• Pre-register patient cases with accurate intake and eligibility data
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for scheduled services
• Enter authorization data accurately into EPIC ADT/hospital billing systems
• Communicate with patients about cost estimates for appointments
• Ensure exams are scheduled with correct class and indicators
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
