Qualifications

• Epic experience, as well as referral or authorization experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred.
• Previous experience in healthcare administration, insurance authorization/verification, scheduling, or medical billing 2-3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients prior to medical procedures.
• Obtain pre-authorization from insurance companies for medical procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers for accurate insurance documentation.
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues.
• Educate patients about their insurance benefits and responsibilities.
• Assist patients with insurance claims and billing questions.
• Process and submit insurance claims in a timely manner.
