Job summary

The US Oncology Network's Texas Oncology in Richardson, TX seeks an Insurance Specialist to join the team in a full-time remote role.

You'll monitor delinquent accounts, resolve claims, review payments, and assist patients with billing and insurance questions while adhering to confidentiality and regulatory guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in medical billing and knowledge of claims processing, with proficiency in Word/Excel. Associates degree preferred for Sr level.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years combined medical billing and payment experience.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and third party claims processing.
• Knowledge of state & federal collections guidelines.
• Requirement to complete e-learning courses within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Monitors delinquent accounts and performs collection duties.
• Reviews reports, researches and resolves issues.
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure current balances.
• Works with co-workers to resolve insurance payment and billing errors.
• Monitors and updates delinquent accounts status.
• Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines.
