Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking an Insurance Specialist to join our team at the Richardson, TX location. This full-time role supports Texas Oncology by handling medical billing and patient accounts to keep balances accurate and compliant.

Responsibilities include monitoring delinquent accounts, reviewing reports, resolving billing issues, and communicating with patients and payers while maintaining HIPAA standards in a clinic setting. Typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:30a - 5:00p.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of medical billing and payment experience.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing.
• Knowledge of state and federal collections guidelines.
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors delinquent accounts and performs collection duties.
• Reviews reports, researches and resolves issues.
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure balances are current.
• Resolves insurance payment and billing errors with colleagues.
• Maintains patient privacy and adheres to HIPAA and related laws.
