Texas Oncology, part of the US Oncology Network, is seeking an Insurance Specialist to join our Richardson, TX site. This full-time role supports patient billing, claims processing, and collections within a busy oncology setting.

Flexibility to handle patient inquiries and coordinate with payers is required. The Insurance Specialist will review payments, resolve billing issues, and maintain up-to-date patient demographics while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in medical billing/payments.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and third party claims processing.
• Experience with oncology coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delinquent accounts and performs collection duties.
• Reviews reports, researches and resolves issues.
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and to ensure account balances are current.
• Works with co-workers to resolve insurance payment and billing errors.
• Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and regulations.
• May refer patients to Payment Plan options.
• Ensures refunds are processed in compliance with government guidelines.
