Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. The role requires learning multiple hospital systems, researching claims, and working with third-party payors to obtain necessary information for resolution.

This remote position is eligible for candidates across the United States. You will manage 40–50 accounts daily, handle denials and zero pay reports within 24 hours, and ensure HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent diploma required.
• 3+ years’ experience in related medical field.
• Follow directions and to perform work according to department standards independently.
• Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under high pressure situations.
• Sufficient in Microsoft Office applications to complete work assigned.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up on insurance payments and verify payment status.
• Work 40-50 accounts per day for assigned payor(s).
• Rebill to patient’s insurance and document resolution steps.
• Gather demographics and relevant information for claims and update systems.
• Interact with third party payors to resolve denials and payor issues.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
