Job summary

Prevail Recruiting is seeking a partner-level attorney to join its Texas practice in a fully remote capacity. The role emphasizes an active civil litigation/insurance defense docket with independent management and strategic communication with carriers and clients.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of relevant experience, a JD, and a Texas bar license in good standing, along with strong writing and analytical abilities and deep knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas bar license in good standing.
• Strong command of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Exceptional writing, research and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to run a docket with minimal supervision.
• Professional communication with clients, adjusters and opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active litigation docket.
• Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions.
• Take depositions of parties, witnesses and experts.
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trials.
• Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses and experts for testimony.
• Evaluate claims, assess exposure and communicate strategy to carriers and clients.
