You will manage a diverse caseload, develop litigation strategies, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and negotiate settlements while staying compliant with California civil procedures. Must hold a JD and be licensed in California, with proven ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the California State Bar.
• Strong understanding of California civil litigation procedures and applicable laws.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and handle various stages of litigation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and case management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.

Aufgaben

• Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies to effectively represent and protect clients' interests.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court proceedings.
• Handle all phases of discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Evaluate claims, assess liability and damages, and provide recommendations on litigation strategy and potential resolution.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor case progress, manage deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable court rules and procedural requirements.
