Job summary

The Company seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Texas practice, with 100% remote work and a hybrid option from the Dallas office. You will manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, draft pleadings and briefs, conduct depositions, and prepare cases for trial while advising clients.

You will collaborate with experienced litigators, interact with insurance carriers and businesses, and benefit from a strong compensation package and standard firm benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and prepare cases for trial.
• Develop litigation strategies, evaluate liability and damages, and advise clients on exposure.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and expert witnesses.

About the Opportunity

An established litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing Texas practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys complex civil litigation, hands-on case management, and working alongside experienced litigators in a collaborative environment.

The firm represents a diverse range of clients, including insurance carriers, businesses, and other institutional clients, handling sophisticated litigation matters across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and prepare cases for trial.
• Develop litigation strategies, evaluate liability and damages, and advise clients on case exposure.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to deliver effective, client-focused representation.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• Experience handling insurance defense or complex civil litigation matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases, prioritize deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients.
• Trial preparation and courtroom experience preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000-$185,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
