Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casualty claims handling.
• Ability to organize data, multi-task and make decisions independently.
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to write reports and compose correspondence.
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security.
• Ability to effectively deal with a diverse group of individuals.
• Ability to understand financial documents and math-related concepts.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims.
• Study policies, endorsements, and forms to understand company products.
• Learn and comply with claim handling procedures.
• Develop entry-level negotiation and settlement skills.
• Meet and communicate with claimants, legal counsel, and third-parties.
• Develop skills including estimating and use of computer-based programs for loss adjustment.
• Study, obtain, and maintain an adjuster license if required within timeline.
