Digitech is seeking a Specialist Utilities Billing Representative for a remote, work-from-home role. You will review and resolve claims on hold, denials, or incorrect payments, while adhering to HIPAA and quality standards.

The position follows an Eastern Time schedule, Monday through Friday, with standard business hours. Qualifications include a high school diploma, solid computer skills, a 40 wpm typing speed, and experience handling insurance claims.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills with basic MS Office proficiency.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work with tight deadlines.
• Understanding of insurance claims and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review holds on claims and identify causes to move them forward.
• Address claims identified as paid by locating deposit information.
• Complete basic credentialing updates with insurance companies.
• Review patient accounts to ensure correct coordination of benefits.
• Handle correspondence for EMS lockbox (denials, invoices, requests).
• Document findings with accuracy in systems, maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain claim status and deposits.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
