Washington University in St. Louis seeks an Insurance Billing Specialist to follow up on claims and drive timely payments for physician services. You will review accounts, verify insurance details, and use Epic and payer portals to submit and track claims.

This remote role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to QA standards. Prior bookkeeping or medical collections experience is preferred.

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience: 2 years in bookkeeping/accounting or medical collections.
• Certification/licensing: No specific licenses required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs insurance follow-up billing and collection duties to ensure timely payment of physician charges.
• Reviews patient accounts for accuracy of insurance, eligibility, invoices, remittance and related items.
• Utilizes Epic, system tools and payer sites for claim submission, status, attachments, eligibility, and referrals.
• Meets QA and efficiency standards and follows one-touch resolution practices.
• Interacts with management and staff to discuss issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
