Job summary

Placements24 seeks a senior Insurance Actuary to lead complex actuarial analyses, pricing, reserving, and risk assessment from a fully remote setup. You will build and validate models, quantify financial risks, and influence strategic decisions for insurance portfolios across markets.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience, actuarial fellowship/near fellowship, and strong proficiency in Prophet or GGY AXIS, plus R/Python/VBA. Excellent communication and remote collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Fellowship or near-fellowship with a recognized actuarial society (e.g., SOA, IFoA).
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive actuarial experience in the insurance industry.
• Proven expertise in actuarial modeling, data analysis, and statistical techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Prophet/GGY AXIS and programming languages (R, Python, VBA).
• Excellent communication and remote work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex actuarial analyses, including pricing, reserving, and forecasting for life, health, or non-life products.
• Develop, validate, and maintain actuarial models and methodologies.
• Assess and quantify financial risks associated with insurance products and operations.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product development, and finance teams to support business objectives.
• Prepare detailed actuarial reports and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with actuarial standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of actuarial software and tools.
• Conduct profitability studies and monitor financial performance of portfolios.
• Stay abreast of trends, regulations, and innovations in actuarial science.
• Mentor and guide junior actuarial staff on complex projects.
