Job summary

Mindful Therapy Group is seeking an experienced claim specialist to independently resolve complex insurance balances across commercial, Medicare and Medicaid payers. You’ll own a claim from denial to final resolution, with a focus on Washington Medicaid and payer-specific rules.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on insurance A/R follow-up, denial management, and strong communication skills, plus experience with AdvancedMD or similar EHRs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct medical insurance A/R follow-up and claim-resolution experience.
• Experience with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed Medicaid claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication with payer representatives.
• Experience with EHR (AdvancedMD) and payer portals.
• Attention to detail and thorough documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Work outstanding insurance A/R, focusing on denied, rejected, and aged claims.
• Analyze denial reason codes, eligibility, and authorization requirements to determine next steps.
• Submit and track corrected claims, reconsiderations, appeals, and required documentation.
• Interact with payer portals and representatives to obtain status and commitments.
• Communicate status and needs clearly to providers and internal teams.
• Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately per remittance advice.
• Maintain actionable documentation in the EHR and tracking tools.
