Job summary

Mindful Therapy Group is seeking an experienced claim specialist to independently resolve complex insurance balances, denials, and claim-processing issues across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers in our Goodyear, AZ office.

The role requires at least two years of hands-on insurance A/R follow-up and claim-resolution experience, including payer outreach, denial management, corrected claims, and appeals. Washington Medicaid experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on insurance A/R follow-up and claim-resolution experience.
• Experience with EHR/practice-management systems and payer portals.

Responsibilities

• Independently follow up on outstanding insurance A/R, focusing on denied and aged claims.
• Analyze denial codes, eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements to determine next actions.
• Submit corrected and reprocessed claims, reconsiderations, appeals, and required documentation.
• Communicate with payer representatives to obtain status and resolution commitments.
• Document claim history and next steps clearly in the EHR and tracking tools.
