Job summary

CDW is seeking an Instructional Designer to partner with Learning & Development leaders, lead and senior designers, and subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver enablement that supports CDW strategies and business goals. This role applies instructional design best practices and modern learning technologies, including generative AI, across a range of modalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years work experience as an Instructional Designer.
• Hands-on experience with an instructional design project from needs analysis through implementation (portfolio or work samples encouraged).
• Familiarity with ADDIE, SAM, and adult learning theory; strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to assess needs and translate requirements into performance and learning objectives.
• Design and develop content across modalities: ILT, virtual classroom, eLearning, video, microlearning, and performance support.
• Develop content using tools like Articulate 360, Synthesia, Brainshark; ensure accessibility and brand alignment.
• Create customer-facing materials enabling SME and stakeholder collaboration.
• Develop curriculum aligned with business strategies, product launches, and process changes.
• Coordinate programs with project plans, timelines, communications, train-the-trainer, and facilitator materials.
• Use generative AI tools responsibly to accelerate design and ensure accuracy and privacy compliance.
• Maintain accessible, inclusive learning meeting CDW guidelines.
• Measure program effectiveness using data and feedback; propose enhancements.
• Keep content current with SMEs and manage content in the LMS.
• Recommend performance solutions including non-training options.
• Travel up to 10%.
