Job summary

Vituity is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and deliver engaging, accessible learning solutions across modalities from a remote, nationwide location. You will conduct needs analyses, develop measurable objectives, and collaborate with SMEs to translate complex content into learner-centered experiences.

You will apply adult-learning principles, utilize Articulate 360, and support LMS administration while ensuring accessibility and quality through QA and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of instructional design or learning content development experience.
• Experience applying adult-learning theory, learning science, and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, backward design).
• Experience conducting needs analyses and defining measurable learning objectives.
• Experience designing across modalities including e-learning, ILT/VILT, job aids, and multimedia.
• Experience partnering with SMEs and stakeholders through reviews and approvals.
• Experience managing learning projects from planning to delivery with competing priorities.
• Experience with an LMS including content upload, course assignments, and tracking.
• Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise) and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Portfolio demonstrating learner-centered, accessible learning across modalities.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops engaging, accessible, learner-centered learning solutions for enterprise education and performance.
• Conducts analyses to identify audience needs, performance gaps, root causes, and appropriate solutions.
• Develops learning across modalities including eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, and microlearning.
• Translates complex content into clear, learner-centered experiences with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Creates measurable objectives, instructional strategies, storyboards, scripts, and assessments aligned to outcomes.
• Applies instructional design standards, usability, accessibility, and brand guidelines; uses AI-enabled tools responsibly.
• Performs QA and user testing to resolve content, accessibility, and usability issues prior to launch.
• Maintains and refreshes multimedia assets based on feedback and business needs.
• Collaborates with team members, participates in peer reviews, and shares best practices.
• Manages learning projects independently, including scope, timelines, milestones, and risks.
• Supports LMS administration tasks and maintains SOPs/documentation for processes.
