Job summary

HealthHIV is seeking an Instructional Design Coordinator to support the Director of Training and the Instructional Design Manager in delivering online and hybrid learning experiences hosted on a Moodle-based LMS.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts to produce engaging content, ensure 508 compliance, and tailor materials to different modalities and audiences across the public health workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design or similar from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of experience in Instructional Design.
• Evidence of collaborating with others to develop effective hybrid and/or online learning courses or programs that meet industry and/or accreditation standards.
• Experience using elearning and instructional design platforms (e.g. Lectora, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline).
• Knowledge of learning management systems and emerging tools as related to teaching and learning.
• Experience using a Learning Management System (e.g. moodle)
• Ability to write effectively and communicate complex ideas in an easy-to-understand manner

Responsibilities

• Create and build engaging training across multiple media and multiple learning styles.
• Design, develop, and/or re-design content for e-learning, web-based, and/or instructor-led classes.
• Work with subject matter experts to research, write, and/or edit training.
• Master content from existing sources well enough to communicate it.
• Serve as a supportive resource for best practices and approaches for online, hybrid, and traditional instructional design based on innovative learning methods.
• Create instructional supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, etc.).
• Develop learning deliverables in various engaging formats (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, etc.).
• Manage work to allocated effort and schedule.
• Demonstrate superior oral and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
