Job summary

HealthHIV invites applications for an Instructional Design Coordinator. This full-time role supports the Director of Training and the Instructional Design Manager to produce online and blended learning modules hosted on Moodle-based LMS.

The candidate will design engaging content, write clearly, and ensure accessibility and compliance. Remote applicants are encouraged to apply, with the DC office as a base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design or similar from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of experience in Instructional Design.
• Experience with hybrid/online learning courses or programs meeting accreditation standards.
• Experience using elearning platforms: Lectora, Captivate, Storyline.
• Knowledge of learning management systems and related tools for teaching and learning.
• Experience using Moodle or similar LMS.

Responsibilities

• Create and build engaging training across multiple media and learning styles.
• Design, develop, and redesign content for e-learning, web-based, and instructor-led classes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to research, write, and edit training.
• Master content from existing sources to communicate it clearly.
• Provide best-practices guidance for online and hybrid instructional design.
• Create instructional materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games).
• Develop learning deliverables in engaging formats (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games).
• Manage work to schedule and allocated effort.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
