Job summary

HealthHIV invites applications for an Instructional Design Coordinator, based in Washington, DC, with remote applicants encouraged. You will support the Director of Training and the Instructional Design Manager to produce online modules hosted on Moodle, plus self-guided and accredited content for public health capacity-building programs.

The role requires collaboration with SMEs, adherence to timelines, and 508-compliance standards, with expertise in Articulate Storyline and other authoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design or similar from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of experience in Instructional Design.
• Experience collaborating with others to develop effective hybrid and/or online courses meeting standards.
• Experience using elearning platforms (Lectora, Captivate, Storyline).
• Knowledge of LMS and emerging tools related to teaching and learning.
• Experience using Moodle for course development.

Responsibilities

• Create and build engaging training across multiple media and learning styles.
• Design, develop, and/or redesign content for e-learning, web-based, and instructor-led classes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to research, write, and edit training.
• Master content from existing sources to communicate it effectively.
• Serve as a resource for best practices in online, hybrid, and traditional instructional design.
• Create instructional materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games).
• Develop learning deliverables in engaging formats (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games).
• Manage work to allocated effort and schedule.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
