Job summary

Etio is seeking an Instructional Consultant for the Performance Review Program for Initial Licensure (PRPIL) in Massachusetts. This contracted role involves remote support from MA, with on-site classroom observations as needed and up to one hour drive for observations.

You will guide candidates through CAP-based assessments, review portfolios, and coordinate three required tri-partite meetings with the candidate and mentor teacher to ensure alignment with state standards.

Qualifications

• National Board-Certified Teacher or a Master’s degree in teaching or a related field.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising teachers.
• Familiarity with the Massachusetts CAP process or Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Ability to conduct observations and meetings during the school day.

Responsibilities

• Observe and support candidates in demonstrating competence across CAP elements.
• Provide formative and summative assessments aligned with PRPIL and CAP.
• Participate in three tri-partite meetings with the teaching candidate and mentor teacher.
• Deliver high-quality oral and written feedback within 24-48 hours of each observation.
• Support candidates in the development of their electronic portfolio and CAP documentation.
• Attend PRPIL-related training sessions throughout the school year.
• Ensure all documentation, assessments, and reports are completed accurately and on time.
