Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
• Understanding of metals industry and materials distribution.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication, especially in virtual settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret numbers and apply basic math to sales scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Sell products to business and individual customers from sales office, store, or showroom.
• Serve as primary contact for customer base and maintain relationships.
• Manage assigned accounts and grow opportunities with customers.
• Develop sales strategies and action plans to maximize profitability.
• Identify new prospects and convert leads into sales.
• Provide quotations, negotiate pricing within guidelines, and follow up on quotes.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure terms are met and orders are fulfilled.
• Maintain customer records in automated systems and monitor satisfaction.
