Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Inpatient Facility Medical Coder in Clackamas, OR. The role requires strong proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS/CPT coding, and CMS guidelines, with on-site training for one week.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of inpatient coding experience, AHIMA/ACCS credentials, and the ability to communicate with physicians to clarify diagnoses and procedures. Remote work is supported after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years experience in coding with four (4) years inpatient facility coding.
• Must have one of the following certificates: RHIT, RHIA, CCS.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS/CPT and coding guidelines.
• Experience with CMS, UHDDS, and coding for APC/MS-DRG assignments.
• Ability to communicate with physicians for diagnoses/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently review records and assign principal and secondary codes for IP, ED, ASC, OBS, HAS.
• Ensure accurate coding for APC, MS-DRG, APR-DRG with CMS guidelines.
• Utilize CBCT and EncoderPRO to validate codes; maintain high productivity and quality.
