Qualifications

• 3-5 years of acute care hospital inpatient coding experience required.
• Experience within hospital inpatient settings only; no other types of billing.
• Strong technical skills in relevant coding and DRG standards.

Responsibilities

• Assign, sequence, validate, and edit ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Maintain established productivity standards (1.8 charts per hour).
• Perform coding audits and resolve coding quality edits.
