Job summary

Ohio State University in Columbus is seeking a Manager of Inpatient Coding to lead the inpatient coding team within Health System Shared Services. You will oversee ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for MS-DRGs and APR-DRGs, monitor IHIS and 3M Encoder, and coordinate coding projects to support accurate billing.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of progressive hospital-based coding experience, inpatient required.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Administration or equivalent preferred.
• Certification as RHIA/RHIT/CCS by AHIMA is preferred.
• Experience with computer-assisted coding and revenue cycle analytics.
• Collaborative work with CDI, Revenue Cycle, physicians and clinical departments.
