Job summary

UASI is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant: Inpatient Auditor Quality & Education to conduct inpatient coding audits and guide education initiatives. The role focuses on promoting accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance across internal coders and auditors.

The ideal candidate brings RHIA/RHIT or CCS certification and 2–5 years of inpatient coding audit experience, with strong research, communication, and coaching skills for client-facing engagements.

Qualifications

• Active RHIA, RHIT or CCS certification.
• 2–5 years of inpatient facility coding audits and reviews.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive research and justification of audit findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient coding audits and quality reviews for internal coders and auditors.
• Identify coding trends and opportunities; recommend corrective actions and education.
• Provide coaching and in-service education to clients and staff.
• Research guidance from AHA Coding Clinic, ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and other resources.
• Participate in peer review, calibration, and ongoing quality assurance activities.
