Job summary

UASI is seeking an Inpatient Coding Specialist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and focused on maintaining quality coding standards with a strong attendance record.

Applicants should hold AHIMA or AAPC certification and have at least two years of inpatient coding in acute care, coding ICD-10-CM/PCS, and MS DRG systems. Proficiency with VPN, MFA, video conferencing, Outlook, Excel, and calendar management is expected.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CIC, COC) certification.
• A minimum of two years’ recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience in coding ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Knowledge of MS DRG Coding Classification Systems
• Technical competency with remote-based connectivity including VPN, MFA, and video conferencing platforms.
• Proficiency with Outlook, calendar, and Excel for data management.
• A committed regular schedule with reliable and punctual attendance.
• Meet client productivity targets while maintaining coding quality of 95% or greater.
