Job summary

Mountainview Hospital, Inc. seeks a Work-from-Home Inpatient Coding Auditor to perform internal quality assessments of coders and ensure compliance with national guidelines and company policies.

You will improve data integrity and reimbursement by monitoring coding accuracy and participating in special reviews. The role requires at least 3 years of acute care coding experience and expertise in quality reviews, with RHIA/RHIT/CCS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Undergraduate HIM/HIT degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years acute care inpatient/outpatient coding experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years coding auditing/monitoring experience preferred.
• RHIA, RHIT or CCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coordinates and performs quality reviews for inpatient and/or outpatient coding across multiple HSCs.
• Ensures adherence to coding guidelines and policy among staff.
• Applies expert level knowledge of medical coding practices.
• Participates in special reviews or projects.
• Maintains or exceeds 95% productivity and accuracy.
• Meets educational requirements per Company policy.
• Reviews data quality standards and coding resources to stay current.
• Communicates outcomes to the HSC team to improve data integrity.
