Job summary

Datavant is seeking an Inpatient Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, compliance assessments, external payer reviews, and coding education. The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule and optional PRN support for IA IP auditing, with spinal experience a plus and an expected 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS (required), RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Inpatient Facility coding audits according to scope of work for onboarding, focused reviews or SLAs using MS DRG or APR DRGs.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently for optimal workflow and turnaround time.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Function professionally, efficiently, and positively.
