Job summary

Medasource is hiring experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. The role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The contract is 6 months with potential for extension, start ASAP, working PST hours. CCS preferred; RHIT/RHIA credentials will be considered; 3M encoder and Epic EHR experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will be considered.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.
