Qualifications

• 5 years inpatient and outpatient coding experience in an acute care environment.
• Extensive knowledge of MS-DRGs and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-9/ICD-10 codes for inpatient encounters to highest accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical documentation improvement staff.
• Ensure DRG accuracy and data extraction into HIM systems for reporting.
