Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred completion of an accredited degree or coding program.
3-5 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting preferred.
At least one coding certification from AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA) required.
Responsibilities
Maintain ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for all Inpatient diagnoses and procedural occurrences.
Collaborate with clinical specialists to ensure accurate medical documentation.
Extract and abstract required information into electronic medical record systems.
