• Verify patient information and apply correct codes to the encounter.
• Act as a quality reviewer to identify non-matching documents or incorrect encounters.
• Query physicians for additional information when needed to clarify diagnosis or services.
• Accurately reflect care with appropriate modifiers and codes to support data and reimbursement.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and adhere to policies and standards.
