Job summary

Medasource is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder for a fully remote, 100% remote position with PST hours. This 6-month contract opportunity supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases. Start date is ASAP.

The role requires a CCS (preferred) with RHIT/RHIA credentials considered, and at least three years of inpatient coding experience. Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.
