Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of demonstrated success as a project manager.
• Experience in the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, food & beverage, CPG, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Extensive experience with R&D/formulation processes, manufacturing capabilities, and regulatory frameworks (FDA/DSHEA/cGMP).
• Strong background in ingredients and their technical use in dietary supplements.
• Hands-on experience with novel delivery formats (liposomal, encapsulation, softgels, gummies, sprays, etc.).
• Superb organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills to structure feasibility assessments and build business cases.
• Fluency in project management systems/tools (Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira).
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity in early-stage projects.
• Track record of taking concepts from concept through commercial launch.
• Ability to defend unfavorable recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and investigate new innovation ideas for technical and commercial feasibility.
• Collaborate with R&D and Formulators to understand concepts, science, and required constraints.
• Design and execute structured feasibility analyses covering technical viability, manufacturability, cost, regulatory considerations, timelines, and commercial potential.
• Source and manage external partners to fill capability gaps and validate concepts; prepare RFQs.
• Synthesize findings into clear business cases and recommendations for go/no-go decisions.
• Own project plans, budgets, milestones, and stakeholder communications across multiple initiatives.
• Present findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams in actionable formats.
• Manage the innovation intake queue and enforce stage-gate discipline with defined budgets and kill criteria.
• Build COGS, MOQ, landed-cost, pricing, margins, and break-even analyses for defensible financial pictures.
• Coordinate regulatory, IP, and claims due diligence; oversee sampling, pilot runs, validation, and vendor selection.
• Drive commercialization handoff to product and operations teams with complete specifications and vendor agreements.
• Maintain the innovation knowledge base and protect core team capacity by setting expectations.
