Job summary

Encova Insurance is seeking an Injury Resolution Specialist to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle bodily injury claims in a home-based role. You must reside in a payroll-approved state; travel may be required and you report to a Manager, National Injury Claims.

Responsibilities include handling auto, homeowners and liability claims, reviewing coverage, gathering information, evaluating reserves and moving files toward resolution. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a college degree or equivalent and strong insurance/claims knowledge.
• Continuing education preferred (AIC/CPCU designations or equivalent).
• Excellent telephone and in-person claims negotiation, investigation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle bodily injury claims and related coverages.
• Handle auto, homeowners and liability claims including first notices and reassignment scenarios.
• Review and apply policy provisions, exclusions and endorsements; verify limits/deductibles.
• Gather information, take statements, determine facts of loss, liability and subrogation potential.
• Establish reserves and action plans to move files toward resolution.
