Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable platform infrastructure in a 100% remote role. You will work with DevOps, security, and development teams to ensure robust, secure services and automation-first delivery.

The role emphasizes IaC, CI/CD, observability, and security, with a requirement for U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of platform engineering, DevOps, CloudOps, or IaC roles.
• Strong experience with Azure and cloud architectural patterns.
• Proficient in scripting and automation.
• Deep understanding of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure platform infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and operations.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; address issues proactively.
• Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application performance and deployment.
• Implement observability including logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Ensure security and operational standards across environments.
• Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
