Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Associate Software Engineer II (Infrastructure & Automation) to drive automation and support the RPA platform.

You will work hands-on with Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, patching, firewall administration, and cloud environments. You will help modernize workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and expand automation capabilities across the enterprise while collaborating with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Strong skills in Active Directory, password safes, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure with patching, vulnerability remediation and firewall admin.
• Experience with DNS, TCP/IP, encryption, SSL/TLS and related infra components.
• Experience with VMware and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Define system scope and objectives; design or modify information systems.
• Develop and modify procedures to optimize capacity, performance and results.
• Code, test, debug, and document programs and scripts.
• Maintain broad technical skills across languages, databases, OS, and platforms.
• Respond to system failures to reduce downtime and recurrence.
• Provide guidance to teammates and end users.
