Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a Software Engineer – Integrations to join the Enterprise Services API Support team. In this fully remote role, you will design and support critical enterprise APIs while ensuring the reliability and scalability of services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API design, as well as specific experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise and ideally within the healthcare industry.

This position requires participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours deployments. You’ll be expected to work EST hours and contribute to the continuous improvement of API performance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of systems and programming experience required.
• 1 year experience with application development methodology, terminology, and standards required.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives to design, develop, or integrate complex information systems.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs and scripts.
• Responds to system failures and performance events to reduce system downtime.
