Job summary

EMPLOYERS is seeking an experienced security leader to manage the security program as a remote, US-based position. You will own the security roadmap, budgets, vendor relationships, and governance across AWS, Azure, and on-premises identity platforms.

The role emphasizes driving cross-functional coordination, program metrics, and quarterly strategy reviews while operating in a fully remote environment and supporting a nationwide client base.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in technology leadership, security program management, security architecture, or equivalent operational leadership.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with a small team.
• Familiarity with security program governance, vendor management, and budget operations.
• Experience in regulated industries and comfort navigating compliance calendars and audit cycles.
• Track record of delivering program outcomes in environments where structure must be built, not inherited.
• Leadership and judgment with clarity and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Own the security program roadmap and monitor Phase 1 milestones, escalating blockers with recommended actions.
• Own security architecture across cloud and identity domains, including AWS, Azure, and on-premises AD modernization.
• Coordinate security engagement across modernization programs to ensure design-stage participation and tracking.
• Maintain the program metrics dashboard and lead quarterly reviews and annual strategy refresh.
